Rachel drove to Los Angeles in 2005 with the dream of becoming an actress. She immediately caught her first break when she was cast on NBC’s daytime drama “Days of our Lives.” Her character, “Chelsea Brady” became a fan favorite as she developed from a bad girl vixen to a redeemable young woman. Her performance garnered Rachel two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Actress.
She left the world of soaps in 2009 and broke into primetime television when she was cast to play the recurring character of “Annie”, the high strung and competitive college roommate of Claire (Hayden Panettiere). It was in her portrayal of this hilarious character that Rachel began to show her range as an actress.
In 2010 she played the leading role of “Kaia” in the Lifetime Movie Network’s original mini-series “Seven Deadly Sins.” As a lustful hellion with a penchant for trouble, her character forever changes the lives of the small town residents. Based on the bestselling books by Robin Wasserman, Rachel starred opposite “Without a Trace’s” Eric Close and “Apartment 23’s” Dreama Walker.
Most recently, Rachel guest starred on FOX’s hit show “House” playing opposite Jesse Spencer, and appeared on ABC’s “Castle” with Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.
In the very little downtime she has, Rachel is writing a comedic series of essays about growing up in the New Millennium, and is heavily involved with the comedic site missFunny.com.
Additionally, she spends time with the organization Bark Avenue, which assists in rescuing abandoned and abused pets in the LA area, as well as with Samantha’s Friends, a non-profit aimed at helping those with disabilities find independence with the assistance of service dogs. She also is affiliated with the American Diabetes Association, an organization close to her heart as her father has Type 2 diabetes.
Rachel currently resides in Los Angeles with her dog Murphy.
